Catch-22 Miracle Field
Governor's Council on Disability Award Winner
Located at the Chesterfield Athletic Association, Catch-22 Miracle Field is an adaptive and totally accessible baseball field designed for people of all ages and all ability levels. In fact, the Governor's Council on Disability awarded this field The Excellence in Universal Design and Technology Award. The synthetic surface featured on this field and the barrier free design, unlike other fields constructed in the past, allow those who have not been able or allowed to play ball before because of limited mobility (using wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, or braces) the opportunity to participate in the games to the best of their ability. The field was dedicated on August 19, 2005.
